About AWB

AWB was founded by a group of experienced technicians in 1995. In its early days, AWB mainly has been manufacturing special tools and components made of special materials. By constantly adapting to the demands and wishes of our clients, our business areas evolved continuously in the course of time. As a result, AWB today offers beside its original products, precision manufacturing of components, the construction of special containers and the manufacturing of weldments.

Right from the start, AWB focused on the continuous expansion of its technological capabilities – AWB always uses the latest technology available – and is investing in the constant training and development of its employees. Due to the specifically constructed and constantly enhanced production planning and control system, AWB today is able to control and trace every individual component throughout the complete supply chain.

AWB focuses first and foremost on the integrated support of its clients. Due to our experts’ collaboration in development projects, the continuous enhancing of manufacturing processes and the consulting of our clients in the realization of large-scale projects, AWB is much more than just an ordinary contract manufacturer. The success becomes apparent when looking at the high number of large-scale projects in the areas of power plant construction, energy industry and off-shore technology that have been realized successfully by AWB in collaboration with its clients.

Structure of AWB Group

Besides AWB, AWB Group consists of MTC Czech k.s., located in the Czech Republic and Precision Power Components Inc. (PPC), located in the USA. All services of AWB Group are available through any one of the three companies.

MTC Czech k.s. was founded in 1997. The reason for founding the company was the wish to create manufacturing capacity for labor-intensive parts and constructions at lower costs, while simultaneously ensuring the German quality standard. This is achieved by a combination of local manufacturing in the Czech Republic and process control and quality management conducted by German employees or employees trained in Germany.

MTC is mainly working on supplying complex weldments (especially for the energy industry) as well as milling and turning of large components up to 2.200 mm.

PPC Precision Power Components Inc. was founded in the USA in 2011. Most important for the company’s founding was the demand of American clients for a local presence, from which they are able to obtain AWB Group’s products. Thanks to PPC and its local storage, delivery times were decreased. At the moment, PPC is mainly a logistic, distribution and competence partner, but in the medium-term local production capacities are going to be established in the USA.
